28-year-old man shot dead in New Orleans East

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 28-year-old man in New Orleans East late Thursday night.

The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was shot multiple times and died at the scene. The incident occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. in the 8200 block of Curran Road, according to New Orleans police.

The Lead Homicide Detective in the case is Jacob Lundy.
