There are so many good reasons to become a WWNO Sustaining Member and our new Coastal Desk t-shirt from Dirty Coast is just one of them.

DONATE RIGHT HERE

It is the goal of the Coastal Desk to cover the ongoing policy, planning, science and culture of our disappearing Louisiana Coast.  This is a unique journalism endeavor. With our Coastal Desk, WWNO raises coastal issues to the level of daily news. This is not “special coverage.” This is vital information, a story with many twists and turns. Our listeners need consistent updates to better understand the city, state and region where they live, and how the land and water are changing.

WWNO’s Coastal Desk is:

  • Reporter Jesse Hardman, formerly of WBEZ in Chicago, Time magazine, and City University of New York School of Journalism.
  • Producer Laine Kaplan Levenson, of the post-Katrina documentary Land of Opportunity and Bring Your Own storytelling series.
  • News Director Eve Troeh, formerly of the Marketplace Sustainability Desk.

Have you ever noticed that big red button on the top right of our web page?  Click it now, become a Sustainer and get your own Coastal Desk t-shirt.
