Lance Armstrong told Oprah Winfrey that he's lost many things recently: a $75 million sponsorship deal, the leading role in his Livestrong cancer awareness program and the adulation of countless supporters.
But in the lengthy interview, spread over two nights and two-and-a-half hours, the only time Armstrong choked up was when he recalled how he had to explain to his kids that he had been lying for years about not doping when he was cycling.

Elizabeth Colbert-Busch — a.k.a. Stephen Colbert's big sister — shook things up in South Carolina Friday, with the news that she will seek the House seat that was recently vacated by Sen. Tim Scott. The field already includes former Gov. Mark Sanford, who is attempting to repair his scandal-damaged political career.
Others who are vying to represent South Carolina's First Congressional District include Teddy Turner, son of Ted Turner.

The Transportation Security Administration will remove controversial body scanners from airport security after OSI Systems Inc. didn't update its machines' software to make scanned images of airline passengers less revealing.
"It became clear to TSA they would be unable to meet our timeline," Karen Shelton Waters the agency's assistant administrator for acquisitions told Bloomberg News. "As a result of that, we terminated the contract for the convenience of the government."
Robert Hammond and his Co-Founder Joshua David started Friends of the High Line after attending a community board meeting to protest the High Line's demolition in 1999. They pioneered the transformation of an abandoned elevated train line into a public space about 1.5 miles long on Manhattan's west side in New York City.
