New Orleans – Jazz pianist and singer/songwriter Bob Dorough was the musical mind - and voice - behind ABC TV's beloved - and widely acclaimed cartoon series "Schoolhouse Rock" - and one of the few singers to ever appear on a Miles Davis recording. Retired NOPD Lieutenant Pleads Guilty in Danziger Bridge Cover-up

New Orleans, La. – U-S Attorney Jim Letten said after Lohman's plea that the investigation into the Danziger Bridge shooting is far from over. Lohman was accused of participating in a massive cover-up of the shootings that also left six others injured.
Letten would not say if more police officers will be charged. The state initially charged seven officers involved in the case, but it fell apart. Federal prosecutors took over in the fall of 2008.

Tolbert's "Aquiferious" Exhibit Explores Florida's Springs

New Orleans, La. – Art and science come together to explore and protect Florida's freshwater springs in Margaret Ross Tolbert's Aquiferious exhibit on view at LeMieux Galleries thru February 27, 2010.
