The city of Lafayette has launched its eat local campaign. EatLafayette is in its ninth year of promoting the mom-and-pop restaurants that have put Lafayette on the map as a foodie town.

Subsidy increase to Cajundome to be considered

The Advertiser reports the council this week briefly discussed City-Parish President Joey Durel's proposed $550,000 allocation to the Cajundome for the upcoming fiscal year, which marks a $50,000 increase from the current fiscal year.

ULL student union project begins soon

By the time the semester starts Aug. 20, William Crist, campus facilities manager, tells The Advocate the only service open in the building will be the bookstore.
