Bring Your Own Presents: 'Leftovers'

Bring Your Own is a live storytelling pop-up series that takes place in living rooms, backyards and other intimate spaces within the community. Each month, seven storytellers have 7 minutes to respond to a theme.

New Orleans native Elizabeth Gross tells it like it is at the local storytelling event Bring Your Own.

This winning piece was recorded live on November 15, 2012 at the 3020 Creative Studio on Royal Street, and later produced by Nina Feldman. The theme of the evening was "Leftovers", and native New Orleanian Elizabeth Gross tells of a messy roommate situation and a mystery that was ultimately sniffed out. Gross has told three stories at this event. In her other life, she is a writer, a teacher at the Bard Early College program, and an active member of the Friends of Music organization.

Bring Your Own is a production of Laine Kaplan-Levenson, Liam Daniel Pierce and Nina Feldman. To find out when the next BYO will take place, email bringyourownstories@gmail.com.
